Rock Band Mixing Template - Studio One

This Studio One rock band mixing template is built to speed up full-band mixes by eliminating setup time and giving you a solid, organized starting point. It’s designed for modern rock productions, with clean routing, summing buses, and practical processing already in place so you can focus on balance, tone, and impact.

All tracks are color-coded, grouped, and routed to summing tracks and FX buses, making it easy to stay organized even in dense sessions.

References
A dedicated section for demo tracks, rough mixes, or reference songs. Use mute and solo to compare your mix and stay aligned with the target sound.

Drums
All drum tracks are preloaded with Fat Channel Strips on every channel, including EQ, compression, gates, and HPF where appropriate. Snare and toms are pre-routed to FX channels—simply raise the send level to add reverb without additional routing.

Instruments
All instruments are organized using Summing Tracks for maximum flexibility and control. Each instrument category (drums, bass, guitars, etc.) is color-coded for fast navigation. Every track includes essential EQ and compression, with bus routing already configured.

Vocals
A flexible vocal chain is already in place, designed to work in most rock mixing scenarios. It’s meant as a starting point—tweak, replace, or bypass processing as needed to fit the song.

FX
Four dedicated FX channels are included:

• 2 Reverbs

• 1 Delay

• 1 Parallel Distortion

Bus sends are already set up where effects are most commonly used, allowing you to add depth, space, and grit quickly.

Stereo Out
All tracks route cleanly to the Stereo Out, which includes a limiter and basic metering plugins for level control and mix evaluation.
